Jerry DeHondt, owner of DeHondt Electric, DeHondt Storage, and DeHondt Disposal, grew up on a farm in Michigan in the Utica and Armada area. Growing up working on a farm at a young age helped shape the strong work ethic he carries with him today. That foundation inspired him to become an entrepreneur and build businesses that complement and support one another.
In February 2003, Jerry opened DeHondt Electric Inc. and successfully operated the company in Shelby Township for 15 years.
In 2018, he purchased and developed 10 acres of land located at 15450 33 Mile Rd in Armada, Michigan. From there, he continued expanding his electrical company while also bringing his vision of an RV storage facility to life, known as DeHondt Storage LLC. He built large indoor storage buildings designed to give RV owners a safe, covered place to store and protect their investments.
As time went on, Jerry also recognized that many people struggled to dispose of large or unwanted items. To help meet that need, he started DeHondt Disposal LLC by purchasing a few rubber-wheeled dumpsters. Today, the fleet continues to grow as more customers rely on the service.
Jerry is a proud father to his son Brendan and daughter Julia. One day they will take over the family businesses, continuing to grow while creating jobs and giving back to the community.
If you’re in need of electrical work, storage, or disposal services, Jerry and his team are always ready to help to provide a personalized experience and quality service you can count on.
